Handwriting Program
Research has shown that children who can write well have improved confidence and self-esteem, increased concentration, improved academic performance and an increased ability to express themselves creatively (Viholainen et al. 2013 and McCarroll and Fletcher 2017).

Using a multi-sensory approach children learn pre-writing skills, uppercase and lowercase letter formation, letter sizing, line usage, and spacing. Underlying performance areas are targeted to further develop handwriting legibility including pencil grasp, fine motor, visual motor, spatial, and motor planning skills. Activities are both fun and rewarding.

This program is designed for children in grades 1-4. Instruction takes place 2-3x per week for 60 mins with an Occupational Therapist.

Groups are offered during the school year in 3 blocks, Fall, Winter, and Spring.
